This is another little storefront in Great Neck. Also serving great Israeli food. I like the vibe. I like the owners. I like the food. Ambiance was ok. We sat at the window table, twice. In the early part of the day, Rothchilds serves as a coffee shop/cafe. Everything we ordered for dinner was excellent and we could not help compare it to Lola’s, which is across the street, and we prefer this restaurant. Rothchilds makes a delicious Bloody Mary with a million spices. It was so good I asked how to make it. After ingredient #35, I gave up. It was supreme.

We tried the grilled Spanish eggplant and the fried cauliflower. Both were amazing. As was the beet salad with radish and labne and blue cheese. The shnitzelomin was panko crusted chicken fingers with honey mustard and tahini. It was a good filler. The tuna ceviche with bulgar and red onions was great. All of the food had so many tastes going on. There was a special shawarma salad and a quinoa and lentil salad. Both are an easy reorder. May go back tonight.

So, went back last light, and the food did not disappoint. Fabulous.
