So here we were, on a Saturday night, looking for a restaurant, and the entire city was out.

On the way to Van-Da, I had seen a great looking restaurant. I did not catch its name, but it was on the same street. We walked west a couple of avenues and we found it. It was called MONOMONO.

It was beautifully done, full of wood and flowers, walls with glass jars of marinated things. Lots of textures. The music was great. We ordered a bottle of wine and a bottle of fabulous saki. The servers here were also kids, but these kids had personality. We tried 5 entrees. We gave up. The food was just not making it. We will never give it another try because there are just too many restaurants to try .....especially these pretty little holes in the wall..........but maybe you will. It had almost everything going for it. We went home hungry.
